I'm Paloma Johnson-Walker, also known as Paloma Dora, and I began producing podcasts in 2018 after being hired by the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation. With just one day of audio production training, I hit the ground running. Yes, you read that right. After just one day, who did I think I was?
Well, I didn’t just dive all the way in; I took a few courses, but I was freelancing as a podcast producer in a little under a month. I love audio editing, crafting segments, writing scripts with clients, and—most of all—sprinkling humor into storytelling and creating eye-catching graphics for shows.
Recently, I started working in AV production at my church, where I also create custom graphics to elevate our media presence.
My love for design started when I took an intro to digital media course and quickly became obsessed. Over the years, I’ve refined my skills, from creating print materials for national conferences to obsessively perfecting PowerPoint slides (yes, I once spent two hours on a two-slide deck). I’m also a frequent visitor to Behance Adobe live streams.
Always eager to stay ahead of digital trends, I’m constantly learning from YouTube University, Skillshare, and Udemy. Whether it’s brand design, podcast production, or the latest creative tool, I’m passionate about bringing ideas to life with my unique style.
When I’m not deep in the world of podcasts, you can find me chilling with my cousins or my cat, Moon Pie, diving into a sci-fi novel, or cozy gaming on my Nintendo Switch.
